What we do

Finance, operations and systems work, bought by the hour rather than the headcount.

Five areas of work. You can take one of them, or use us across the lot as the business moves through its phases. Everything below can be delivered micro-fractionally and remotely, which is how it already runs for clients in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and the UK.

Financial modelling and forecasting

Models that answer real decisions. Can we afford this hire, what does a slow quarter do to us, what happens if the biggest customer leaves.

  • Three way models linking profit, cash and balance sheet
  • Scenario and sensitivity views for planning conversations
  • Rolling cash flow forecasting you can update weekly
  • Pricing and margin analysis by product, service or client
  • Budgets that survive contact with the actual year

Accounts payable and receivable

The two ledgers that decide whether growth feels comfortable or terrifying. Both usually need process work rather than more chasing.

  • Receivables review, ageing clean up and collections rhythm
  • Invoicing that goes out on time, with terms that get honoured
  • Payables approval flow, controls and payment scheduling
  • Supplier terms review and negotiation support
  • Working capital position you can see at any point in the month

Revenue operations

One set of numbers across sales, finance and delivery, and a path from quote to cash that does not lose anything on the way.

  • Quote to cash process mapped and rebuilt
  • CRM structure, pipeline stages and data hygiene
  • Revenue and pipeline reporting that finance and sales both accept
  • Commission structures and incentive modelling
  • Handover points between sales, delivery and finance

Reporting and dashboards

Reporting is only useful if it arrives while you can still act on it. The aim is a short set of numbers you check often, not a long pack you skim once a month.

  • Owner and management dashboards, refreshed automatically
  • Board, lender and investor reporting packs
  • KPI selection tied to the strategy rather than to habit
  • Month end tightened so the close lands on time
  • A single agreed source for each number

Process, automation and AI builds

Most teams carry hours of repeat work that software can take. We map the process, cut the steps that add nothing, then build what is left into something that runs itself.

  • Process mapping and optimisation across finance and operations
  • Custom work processing builds for repeat tasks
  • AI assisted workflows for review, drafting, sorting and data entry
  • Integration between the systems you already pay for
  • Documentation and training so the team owns it afterwards

Engagements

Four ways this usually runs

Pick the shape that suits the work in front of you. Most clients change shape at least once as things settle down or pick up.

A few hours a month

Light touch oversight. Numbers reviewed, forecast updated, issues flagged early, and someone on the end of the phone between sessions.

A day a week

Hands on capacity while you are building something or working through a backlog. Enough presence to move work, without a full time cost.

A defined project

One problem, a fixed scope and a finish line. Build the model, rebuild collections, ship the dashboard, automate the process.

On call advisory

You run the business day to day and bring us in for the decisions that carry weight. Pricing, hiring, funding, systems, growth planning.

Getting started

What the first month looks like

These four steps run in order. By the end of them you have a clear picture of the problem and a plan you could hand to someone else if you wanted to.

Conversation

Thirty to forty five minutes on what is happening, what you have tried and what is at stake. No charge and no obligation.

Review

We look at the numbers, the systems and the process. This is where the real problem usually turns out to be somewhere slightly different.

Plan and scope

You get the findings, the order of work, the hours it needs and the cost. If a partner should handle part of it, that is named here.

Build and hand over

The work gets done at the agreed cadence, documented as it goes, with your team trained on anything they will run afterwards.

Not sure which piece you need first?

That is a normal place to start. Describe the symptoms and we will tell you where we would look.
